At Akina, we believe that when we manage the data of today, we secure the careers of the next seven generations.
Akina North is more than a consulting firm; it is a commitment to the "all." Founded by Julie Cyr, a member of Matachewan First Nation based in Timmins, Ontario, Akina was born from twenty-five years of deep immersion in Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) and community programming. Our story is one of bridging worlds. We combine the rigorous technical requirements of federal data management with a heart-centered approach to community service. Whether we are developing the AMP (Amalgamated Management Program) cloud-based SaaS, facilitating strategic planning, or reviewing organizational policy, we move with the understanding that every data point represents a person, and every policy impacts a family.

Julie brings a unique, multi-faceted lens to this workâas an entrepreneur, a mother and grandmother, a specialized ISET program manager, and a lifelong artist and musician. This breadth of experience allows Akina to see the totality of a project, ensuring that technical solutions never lose sight of the human spirit they are meant to serve. We believe in the power of "All." All our data. All our people. All our future. Together.
